St Mary the Virgin in the Parish of  Maldon St Mary with Mundon, seek to appoint a Director of Music to fill the current vacancy.  

Excellent 2 manual Klais/Hey organ, mechanical action, recently installed in a new gallery.

• Longstanding choral tradition including an enthusiastic Junior Choir.
• Choir Practice held weekly, with a short rehearsal before each service.
• Choir sings full Choral Mass setting 3 or 4 times each month and Choral Evensong once a month.
• With additional singers, the Choir has performed major liturgical works, including Bach’s St John Passion annually, and toured both abroad and in UK cathedrals.

St Mary’s Church, known as the Fisherman’s Church, is a busy Anglican Parish in Maldon, situated on high ground overlooking the estuary of the River Blackwater. We offer a friendly, welcoming congregation and a supportive ministry team.

Salary: £7,500 – £10,000 + additional fees for weddings, funerals and special services.
